The World Health Organization (WHO) has discussed with UEFA the future of football in the “old continent” under the weight of the Coruna virus epidemic. The WHO has, after consulting epidemiologists, provided several advice, including freezing football events to a long time, in order to completely reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

According to the Fox Sports Network, two of the World Health Organization’s top epidemiologists were present at the meeting, calling for the need to freeze football activity in Europe until the end of 2021, in an attempt to stop the Corona outbreak. The network continued, that the World Health Organization was serious in its demand, given that this sport is the most vulnerable to the spread of the global epidemic.

However, the British newspaper “The Independent” said, “UEFA” denied the validity of this report in form and object.

The newspaper quoted a spokesman for “UEFA” as saying: “The World Health Organization did not request the cessation of competitions until the beginning of 2021, and discussions are still ongoing with all parties, to discuss the ideal and safe return to football activity as soon as possible.”
