Saudi Aramco and its subsidiaries announced the support of the Health Endowment Fund in the Ministry of Health with an amount of 200 million riyals, in line with the efforts of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to combat the outbreak of the new Corona virus, and support the initiatives of the Ministry of Health to face this global crisis.
This support is an extension of Saudi Aramco’s national role and the fulfillment of its responsibility towards society.
Saudi Aramco’s endowment fund aims to contribute to supporting the intensive care room ventilators initiative, the highly efficient air purifiers initiative for quarries, and the protective tools initiative for health practitioners and patients.
In addition to this support to the Health Endowment Fund at the Ministry of Health, Saudi Aramco launched a donation campaign among its employees aimed at supporting orphans and widows in the face of the consequences of the new Corona virus, by providing basic food items, prevention tools, educational brochures and educational materials.
The company has committed to pay a sum similar to what its employees will offer in this campaign, to encourage it and multiply the impact of their donation.
It is noteworthy that the company took a number of measures to ensure the continuity of its business, which is a pillar of the national and global economies, while preserving the safety of its employees and their work environments.
These procedures include directing many male and female employees to work remotely from their homes, intensifying sterilization efforts in offices and facilities, and adhering to standard health practices at work sites according to the instructions of the competent authorities.
