Dubai Police General Department of Narcotics arrested an Asian young man after he posted a video clip on social media networks while he was using heroin drug and challenging the security services, and accordingly all legal measures were taken and referred to the judicial authorities.
Brigadier Eid Muhammad Thani Hareb, Director of the General Department of Narcotics Control, said that the concerned teams moved immediately after the video clip spread on social media sites and arrested the accused within hours only, and he was transferred to the competent authorities to take the necessary measures regarding him, indicating that the communication sites are not platforms for showing off anomalous behavior .
He called for not trading these videos on issues related to substance abuse, as it poses a risk to the health and life of the individual, and has led a number of people to experiment with the idea of drug use, stressing that the Dubai police strike with a hand of iron for all who begged themselves to tamper with the laws of the state with a view to abuse Or promoting or trading as well as filming videos that contribute to the spread of destructive ideas harmful to society and contribute to the spread of negative ideas.
It is mentioned that Federal Law No. (5) of 2012 on combating information technology crimes stipulated in Article No. 29 that “a temporary imprisonment and a fine not exceeding one million dirhams shall be imposed on anyone who publishes information, news or data on a website or any information network or technical means Information with intent to harm the reputation, prestige, or standing of the state or any of its institutions.
