Cleaning supplies officials have warned against using their antiseptic agents to treat corona virus, after US President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility of fighting infection with these substances.
Reckitt Benckiser, the manufacturer of the detergent manufacturer, Dettol and Laesol, said that under no circumstances should our antiseptic products be introduced into the human body, whether by injection, swallowing or any other method.
Trump said during a White House press conference that the idea of injecting “Covid-19” patients with cleansing materials “seemed interesting to me.”
The US president also suggested “exposing the body to the strong effects of ultraviolet radiation or simply to very strong light”, with the aim of treating patients with the virus.
Doctors earlier pointed out that the idea of injecting patients with disinfection materials was “dangerous and irresponsible.”
