Cancellation due to “Covid 19”!

The organizers of the famous German opera “Beirut Festival” announced the cancellation of its scheduled session on July 25, in light of the spread of the new Corona virus. The organizers said, in a statement posted on the festival’s website and reported by Agence France-Presse: “We regret having to cancel the 2020 session because of the epidemic,” as the measures currently in place make it difficult to organize the exercises that were supposed to start in the coming days.

The festival is centered around the work of German Richard Wagner (1813-1883) who founded the event in 1879, while this year’s session included the presentation of the “Nipplingen Ring”. The cards sold for the year 2020 will remain valid for next year’s session, the organizers confirmed.
This decision comes in light of the need for most festivals and artistic and cultural events to be canceled or postponed due to “Covid 19”.
