A Spanish press report revealed Barcelona’s desire to reinforce its offensive line with a new deal.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Barcelona want the services of the Belgian club Ghent striker, Jonathan David.
The report of the Catalan newspaper pointed to the possibility of the 20-year-old young striker, whose market value is estimated at 25 million euros, to Barcelona compared to 16 million euros because the transfer market was affected by the financial crisis caused by the pervasive Corona virus in most countries of the world.
The newspaper pointed out that Jonathan is currently compared to Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Halland, as the Canadian player scored 18 goals and provided 8 decisive passes with his team this season.
At the international level, Jonathan managed to score 11 goals in only 12 games, which caught the attention of the major clubs in Europe, where he received many offers, most notably from Eindhoven, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Everton.
