The official website of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club confirmed that the Planning Committee headed by Mohsen Saleh expressed its best wishes for Ahmed Fathi, the first team football player until the end of the current season, which is the deadline for the player to move to another side, where sources close to the player indicated his transfer to the rival Pyramids who signed with Ahmed Fathi for three seasons.
Al-Ahly Fathi, 35, has only given two days to make his decision about renewing his current contract with the club for a period of two years or leaving.
Ahmed Fathi had held a meeting with Al-Ahly officials, last Monday, to talk about the possibility of renewing his contract, which expires at the end of the current season, but he requested a 48-hour deadline to respond once and for all.
Hours before the new meeting, Fathi posted a picture of his story via his official account on “Instagram”, with a full blue background, in reference to his transfer to the Pyramids team during the next summer transfer period.
Adding to the doubts, the player’s agent, Nader Shawky, who is close to the Al-Ahly club, wrote:From today I do not represent the player Ahmed Fathi. ““.
Ahmed Fathi, the Al-Ahly Egyptian Premier League footballer, informed his club today of his refusal to renew his contract, which ends at the end of the current season.
Al-Ahly offered Fathi to renew his contract for two seasons in exchange for 11 million pounds (about 697,000 dollars) in one season, which the player rejected.
