A record number of corona deaths within 24 hours in America – one world – is beyond borders

On Wednesday and Thursday evening, the United States counted 1,200 additional deaths from the new Corona virus, according to Johns Hopkins University, in the worst daily toll ever recorded in any country.

With 1,169 deaths between 8.30 pm local time on Wednesday and the same hour in the evening, Thursday, the total number of deaths since the start of the epidemic in the United States is currently 5926 deaths, according to the university’s statistics, which are constantly updated.

The previous daily record of the number of deaths due to the virus was recorded on March 27 in Italy (969 deaths).

However, the total number of deaths in Italy (13,915 deaths) and Spain (10,003 deaths) is still higher than in the United States.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, the United States also counted more than 30,000 additional cases of Covid-19, raising the official number of registered injuries in the country to more than 243,000, according to Johns Hopkins University.

According to White House figures, it is expected that Coffed-19 will kill between 100,000 and 240,000 people in the United States.

New York Mayor Bill de Palacio asked residents to cover their faces when they leave their homes in this city most affected by the emerging coronavirus in the United States.

“It could be a scarf, something that you made at home, a handkerchief,” de Palacio told a news conference. “We do not want you to use the masks that emergency crews and health care providers need,” as it is not certain that these medical masks will be available in sufficient quantities until the end of the epidemic.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, New York has recorded 1,562 deaths from the virus, according to figures released Thursday evening by city health officials, who also counted 49,707 cases.

The mayor explained that the decision to ask residents to cover their faces was made on the basis of a study published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the national health authority in the United States.

The study indicated that transmission can occur through mere breathing. “It has been shown that speaking and other vocal activities, such as singing, can generate molecules in the air,” said the authors of the study, published Wednesday.

For his part, President Donald Trump did not demand that Americans cover their faces, leaving the choice to them. He said, “I do not think that this will be compulsory, because some people do not like it.”
