The upcoming iPhone 9 phone, which will replace the iPhone SE that was launched in 2016, is likely to arrive in the near future. A few weeks ago, a report spoke of postponing the announcement of the phone indefinitely due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, but it appears that Apple changed its mind.
According to a new report, the company held an internal meeting to discuss how to move forward, and the meeting concluded that the iPhone 9 will be officially announced on April 15th. It will be available on April 22. It is not clear whether the company plans to hold the official announcement event online, or simply will issue a press release.
Returning to previous reports, I mentioned that the iPhone 9 will get a design inspired by the iPhone 8 and iPhone 4 so that it will include the flat frame of the iPhone 4 and the main button with the fingerprint sensor Touch ID at the bottom of the screen for the iPhone 8, as well as a 4.7-inch screen, and the Apple A13 processor Bionic used in the current iPhone 11 Series phones.
The rumors suggesting the low-cost iPhone is very old. These rumors first appeared in 2017 and hinted that it will be announced in early 2018, but this, of course, did not happen. These rumors started to reappear in late 2019, but will this finally be the year when iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 owners will get their long-awaited alternative?
