It is known that exercising has great and long-term benefits, as it improves blood circulation and heart function, and helps in losing a lot of weight, as it improves the general mood, but 77% of Saudis are not practicing sports in 2019, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).The most important results of the household exercise survey

Doing sports (150 minutes or more per week)

– Saudi practitioners in the 25-29 age group are the highest, at 40%

– Directly followed by the age group of 20-24 years, it reached 39%.

While the age group of 65 years and over is considered the least

The highest percentage in exercising sports activity according to (gender, age, social and educational status):

Walking is the most practiced sport, with the percentage of males 51% and females 82%.

– In Mecca, where the percentage of males reached 37% and females 15%

– In the age group (25-29), where the percentage of males reaches 40% and females 14%

– Male students who study higher diploma, at 53%

– Female students studying for a master’s degree, at 45%.
