481 million euros in the first quarter due to corona

The European Airbus Group for Air Industries announced a net loss of 481 million euros in the first quarter of this year, compared to a net profit of 40 million euros a year ago, noting that it had noticed “quickly” the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic on its accounts.

The group said its revenue fell by 2.15 percent in the first three months of the year, to 10.6 billion euros, “reflecting the challenging environment affecting the commercial aviation market.” During this period, the group delivered forty less aircraft than the number that it delivered in the same period in the previous year due to the outbreak.
