The popular messaging app WhatsApp has announced that the “dark mode” feature – which is the most requested of users – is now available globally.
This feature is designed to reduce eye strain in low-light environments, and should also prevent you from accidentally lighting a dark room if you are trying to reach your phone.
And WhatsApp admits that it took time to develop the dark mode, with many other applications that already have this option, but the most famous messaging app developers in the world wanted to make this feature available correctly, as they focused on two specific areas: “Readability” and “Sequencing” Hierarchy of information “, by choosing darker colors that help users see the most important information on the screen.
Users can control the feature in terms of turning it on and off, and in “dim mode” for WhatsApp is a black background with white text at the top, and the regular display version is the opposite with a white background that shines a lot of light.
The feature is expected to improve the user experience and reduce battery consumption.
This feature was previously discovered in several beta versions of iOS and Android applications.
