Tunisia’s Esperance failed to continue defending the CAF Champions League title, despite beating its Egyptian guest Zamalek, with an orphan goal, in the second leg of the quarter-final match.

Algerian striker Bilal Ben Saâda scored the only victory goal for the Tunisian team from a penalty kick, early in the fifth minute of the start of the first whistle, which was held today, Friday, at the Olympic Stadium in the Tunisian city of Rades.

But winning this result was not enough for the Esperance sports team, to make up for its defeat against Zamalek (1-3), in their first-leg match last Friday, at the Cairo International Stadium.

Next time, Zamalek will be in the CAF Champions League semi-finals, awaiting the finalists to face Moroccan Raja and Mazembe Congolese.
