UAE suspends entry to valid residence holders who are abroad

The United Arab Emirates has decided to “suspend” entry of holders of valid residency residing outside the country from Thursday, March 19, 2020 at exactly twelve o’clock in the afternoon until two weeks, renewable according to the health and epidemiological developments due to the spread of Corona virus and as a precautionary measure in order to preserve their health and safety.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has requested all owners of valid residence residing outside the country to take the following measures:

– If the resident in the country of his nationality adheres to postponing his travel for a period of two weeks, and he must communicate with the diplomatic mission of the Emirates in his country, to provide support throughout the period of his stay abroad and facilitate the procedures for his return to the state.

– If the resident is outside the country to work, he must communicate with the institution in which he works, as well as with the diplomatic mission of the Emirates in that country, to provide support throughout the period of his stay outside the country and facilitate the procedures for his return to the state.

– If the resident is on vacation, he must communicate with the diplomatic mission of the Emirates in that country, to provide support throughout the period of his stay outside the country and facilitate the procedures for his return to the state.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship calls upon the relatives and relatives of the resident who is outside the state and those who have a direct relationship with him by contacting the following numbers to inform them of all the procedures that must be followed:

The commission said in a statement today that this comes within the framework of the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the state to confront the emerging corona virus (Covid 19).
