An official source at the Public Prosecution stated that, based on the order issued by His Excellency General Prosecutor Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mu’jib, regarding the arrest of a citizen who claims to be exempt from the curfew and misleading order to publish it through social media for incorrect information that affects the aspect of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’s command to prevent curfews And that, according to this, the aforementioned person was searched, investigated, identified, arrested, and referred to the Public Prosecution.

The source also confirmed that the Public Prosecution, in accordance with Articles (15, 17) of the Criminal Procedure System, began the procedures of investigation with the aforementioned upon his appearance before the competent investigator, and that he informs the investigation procedures of the incident in all its aspects, and stand on all its causes and implications, and that the case is still under the procedure.

The source indicated that the production of what might affect the public order is considered one of the major crimes to be arrested, and the perpetrator is punished with imprisonment for a period of five years, and a fine of three million riyals, with the confiscation of the devices used in the crime, and the publication of the sentence if convicted at the expense of the convict.

The source called on everyone to take serious responsibility, full awareness of what is circulating through social media, and adorning the ethics of ideal citizenship in full compliance with the order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to prevent curfew, in the interest of safety and health of all.
