The dollar index is heading to its biggest jump in one day since the twenty-fourth of June 2016.
The Canadian dollar fell 3.1% against the greenback to a 4-year low of 1.4650 to the US dollar.
The British pound fell more than 4% against the US currency to record lows at $ 1.1452.
