The Saudi “Manga Production”, a subsidiary of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), a charity, has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the “Sumitomo” group, to broadcast the Saudi anime series “Legends in Time” through the Japanese “J-Com” stations of the group. The signature was made electronically via the presence of representatives of the two companies in Riyadh and Tokyo, and the series will begin broadcasting to the Japanese public on April 4.The series, which consists of 13 episodes, will revolve in the future in the Kingdom, where it presents the Saudi and Arab heritage tales that people have transmitted since ancient times, and which the novelist tells “Asmaa” to her grandchildren and their robot cat “Anis”, providing them with advice and judgment in the past in the form of events and time stations.
As part of the new agreement, “ASMIC Ice”, a subsidiary of “Sumitomo” company, will distribute the local series in Japan and all over the world, to be available to viewers.
