The Saudi security services stated that they arrested a Yemeni citizen who posted on his account on Twitter a document that documents his picture of the leader of the “Ansar Allah” group, Abdul Malik Al Houthi, on a Saudi banknote.

The authorities of the Jeddah Governorate, in a statement issued on Friday evening, said that the security authorities “seized a resident of Yemeni citizenship in Jeddah who appeared on social networking sites, placing the image of Abdul-Malik al-Houthi on a category of 500 Saudi riyals.”

The provincial authorities added that the detained Yemeni citizen was referred “to the competent authority to apply the penalties against him.”

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia has been leading the Arab coalition, which has launched intense military operations in Yemen in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government loyal to President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, which is fighting Houthi forces backed by Iran.
