Saudi Arabia prevents shisha in cafes and restaurants because of the Corona virus

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced a ban on providing hookah nationwide due to concerns about the Corona virus.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs announced that Saudi Arabia has stopped providing hookahs in cafes and restaurants throughout the Kingdom, for preventive reasons and as a “precautionary measure to preserve the health of citizens and residents of the Corona virus.”

The Kingdom had suspended entry to its lands for the purposes of Umrah and visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in late February, and announced, on Sunday, the suspension of studies in schools and universities, from Monday 9 March until further notice.

And the Saudi Ministry of Health recorded 4 new confirmed cases of the new Corona virus, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease in the country to 11 cases of the disease, most of those infected were in Iran, which is one of the largest countries infected with the disease in the world after China and Italy.
