The Saudi coalition announced that the Saudi air defenses intercepted two ballistic missiles in the airspace of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and over the city of Jizan in the south of the kingdom launched by the “Ansar Allah” group.
Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that no casualties were recorded until the statement was issued.
He added that the interceptions of the missiles caused some shrapnel to fall into some residential neighborhoods in the two cities.
Colonel Al-Maliki’s words were contradicted by the assertion of the media spokesman for the Saudi Civil Defense in Riyadh, Lt. Col. Last February, a spokesman for the Saudi coalition forces, Turki al-Maliki, announced that the Saudi air defenses had intercepted ballistic missiles launched from the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, towards Saudi cities.
For its part, the Yemeni armed forces said that the air defenses had intercepted enemy aircraft in Sanaa before carrying out attacks.
