Royal orders in Saudi Arabia: the Minister of Economy be dismissed from his post

On Thursday, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz decided to dismiss the Minister of Economy and Planning Mohamed Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri from his position and appoint Muhammad Al-Jadaan to replace him.

The exemption and assignment decision came in two royal orders published by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

King Salman decided to appoint Al-Tuwaijri as a consultant at the Royal Court at the rank of minister.

And the text of the royal decree stated, “First: His Excellency Mr. Muhammad bin Mazid Al-Tuwaijri, Minister of Economy and Planning, is relieved of his post.

Second: His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan is tasked to undertake the work of the Minister of Economy and Planning in addition to his work as Minister of Finance.

Third: This matter shall be communicated to the competent authorities for approval and implementation. “
