The “Poet of the Million” competition continued in its 9th season, but for the first time, the public did not witness the 14th competition, which was held on the evening of yesterday, on the stage of Al Raha Beach Theater in Abu Dhabi, but followed it from their homes via screens, in compliance with the state’s instructions to limit the spread of the Corona virus, In which he demonstrated the ability of the leadership to contain the crisis, which was shown by the poet Aref Omar in his poem in which he addressed the statement of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, which reassured the UAE «Do not cripple them».

The slogan “Leave you home” was echoed, decorating the introductory poets ’views before their participation in the evening in which the two Saudis, Muhammad al-Bandar al-Mutairi and Muhammad al-Hammadi al-Otaibi, qualified for the final stage of the jury’s decision, while the Saudi public voted for Mutarab bin Dahim al-Otaibi.
