Former Brazilian international, Felipe Melo, Palmeiras soccer player, revealed the planes of “samba dancers” to catch the Argentine captain Lionel Messi during the confrontations of the two traditional rivals.
Felipe Melo said that the players of the “samba” team agreed to hit Messi alternately: “Messi is a unique player, when we were meeting, we are the Brazil national team with Argentina, we used to say we should hit him, every player once, we follow the turn.”
He continued in his interview with the Argentinian newspaper “Clarin”: “Because it was difficult to monitor him, if we did not do that, we did not want to break it, but only in order to reduce his rhythm and inconvenience, it is tactical.”
In a comparison between the two stars, Messi and the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the Brazilian said: “Messi is a great player, more than Cristiano Ronaldo.”
“Cristiano can score 5 goals, but Messi scores 5 goals and then contributes to his teammates score, it’s more complete,” he added.
Milo currently plays with the Brazilian Palmeiras team, and he previously defended the colors of many clubs such as Inter Milan, Juventus, Fuertina and Turkish Galatasaray, and in his career he received 180 colored cards, including 18 red because of his rough style.
