Al-Nahar and Nida Al-Watan published in their two editions this morning false information about a role for His Excellency President Michel Aoun regarding the action taken by the Financial Prosecutor against a number of banks. Other media also covered the same topic from Different angle.
The Information Office of the Presidency of the Republic is interested in clarifying that the President of the Republic, based on his constitutional responsibilities, especially under the section (Article 50), observes the laws and prevents any defects in their application and in all that could have negative repercussions on the security, economic and financial stability in the country , Without his Excellency having any position towards this or that team or that he is a party to the disputes in general, and the judiciary thereof in particular.
The Information Office of the Presidency of the Republic calls once again for all types of media, its review of everything related to the positions of the President of the Republic, so that the repeated publication of false or fabricated information does not lead to resorting to the approved laws that sponsor the false news approach and the fabricated narration.
