Hodgson continues to lead Crystal Palace

The former England and Liverpool coach, 72, said he was delighted to have extended his contract with the London club, which was supposed to end this year.

“I am proud of what we have achieved since my appointment two and a half years ago, and I look forward to working together in the foreseeable future,” Hodgson said in a statement to the club’s official website.

“Everyone knows how I feel about the club I was supporting when I was a boy. I feel special ties with the fans and know that I, the club’s owners and players work together to achieve the same goal.”

For his part, Chairman of the Board Steve Barrish said, “I am glad that Roy agreed to extend his contract with the club, and strengthened his commitment to helping us continue this period of unprecedented stability in the premium class.”

Crystal Palace is 12th on the English championship table, with 36 points.
