LONDON – Agencies: A laboratory investigation revealed that Prince Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, had contracted the new Corona virus, while the British royal services were quick to confirm that the Queen was “in good health” and had not met her son for two weeks.
And there were many questions about the possibility of catching the infection, and it is likely that after his participation two weeks ago in an event besides the Prince of Monaco, who is also infected with the virus.
Clarence House, the royal court, said in a statement that the 71-year-old prince was showing mild symptoms from Covid 19, “but he is in good health and he has been working as usual from home in recent days.”
Clarence House also clarified that Prince Charles’ wife, “the Duchess of Cornwall (Camilla), in turn, was examined and confirmed that she was not infected with the virus.”
The couple was examined at government NHS facilities in Aberdeenshire, in northern Scotland.
“It is not possible to ascertain who transmitted the infection to the emir due to the large number of events in which he participated in the framework of his public missions during the recent weeks,” added Clarence House statement.
British media reported that Prince Charles participated in a public event that was also attended by Prince of Monaco Albert II on the tenth of March. The Prince of Monaco was declared infected with the virus on March 19.
In a separate statement, Buckingham Palace announced that the 93-year-old Queen Elizabeth II was “in good health” and had not seen her son in the past two weeks.
The Queen, along with her husband Prince Philip, 98, moved to Windsor Palace outside London on March 19.
They are embarking on the Easter holiday a week before the due date due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus, which has killed 422 people in Britain.
A spokeswoman for Buckingham Palace said, “The Queen saw her son, Prince of Wales, for the last time on the morning of March 12, shortly, and she follows all appropriate advice in terms of maintaining her health.”
The spokesperson did not disclose whether the queen had, in turn, undergone a corona examination.
Britain has recorded more than eight thousand confirmed cases of the new Corona virus, but the actual number is likely to be much higher in light of the limited tests available in the country.
