This is what was agreed upon at the meeting of the Ministerial Committee tasked with studying the issue of the return of Lebanese expatriates.

The Cabinet approved the start of the return of Lebanese expatriates from abroad on April 5.

The information indicated that the number of Lebanese registered to return to Lebanon reached 20,000 within the mechanism of returning expatriates from abroad, knowing that the mechanism is still subject to research in order to set priorities, especially since the number of returnees is large.

At a meeting of the ministerial committee tasked with studying the file, it was agreed on a mechanism that was submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, “Middle East Airlines” Mohamed Al-Hout announced that “the company is ready to evacuate the expatriates at its expense upon the issuance of an official decision to do so.”

The “Lebanon Wings” company has also indicated its willingness to “transfer the Lebanese from abroad if the state makes its decision to open the airport to evacuate nationals from the countries.”
