For the third consecutive day, the Chinese mainland has not recorded new cases of coronavirus at the local level, while the number of infections detected by arrivals from abroad has increased.
The National Health Commission of China said 41 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus were registered on the Chinese mainland on Friday, noting that all infections of people came from abroad. This brings the number of cases to China from abroad to 269.
Beijing had the largest share of injuries received, seeing 14 new injuries. Shanghai and six other provinces recorded new HIV infections.
This brings the total number of injuries on the mainland so far to 81008 cases, the committee said in a statement on Saturday.
As of the end of Friday, the number of deaths from the (Covid-19) virus outbreak reached 3,255, an increase of seven deaths over the previous day, all in Hubei province, the center of the virus outbreak in China.
