Counselor Ahmed Hafez, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, on Sunday evening, regretted what was stated in the statement issued by the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, March 8, regarding Sudan’s reservation to the Arab decision on the Renaissance Dam.

“Hafez” stressed in this regard that Egypt has notified the permanent delegate of Sudan to the League of Arab States with the draft resolution since the first day of March, 11:17, and has received confirmation that the text has been received; and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been keen during the following days to continue to communicate with the Sudanese side To receive any comments, which has not been received.

The official spokesman added that the Egyptian delegation had responded to Sudan’s request to delete its name from the draft resolution, but the subsequent amendments proposed by Sudan came to empty the text of its content and weaken the effect of the decision, and the decision issued by the Arab Ministerial Meeting only included solidarity with Egypt’s water rights Emphasizing the rules of international law and calling for the signing of the prepared agreement.
