The number of wealthy individuals in the Gulf countries is expected to increase by 26% over the next five years, to more than 9,100, according to the latest wealth report from Knight Frank Consulting.

57% of these wealthy people will be concentrated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and 23% in the United Arab Emirates.

The data showed that the number of rich people worldwide is expected to increase by 27% in the next five years, to just under 650,000 people.

“The rate of wealth creation in the GCC region is expected to remain strong,” said Timur Khan, associate associate at Knight Frank Middle East.

“Knight Frank expects that by 2024, Asia will be the second largest center of wealth in the world, surpassing Europe,” said Liam Pelly, head of global research at Knight Frank.
