DUBAI (Reuters) – The company’s Emaar Properties document, seen by Reuters, will stop receiving reservations at three hotels in Dubai for more than five months from March 15, an indication of the impact of the Corona virus on demand, a document said.
The document said Emaar, one of the largest hotel operators in Dubai, would stop receiving reservations at the address Fountain Views, Vida Creek Harbor and Vida Emirates Hills from March 15 to August 31.
The Address Fountain Views Hotel is located in the popular downtown area of Dubai, near the Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world, and is one of the most recent hotels in Emaar.
“Following the recent global impact on the travel sector that has brought us to a force majeure, Emaar Hospitality Group has decided to temporarily refocus on a select number of assets,” a spokesman told Reuters.
The same wording was included in the company document.
The document and the spokesperson said that the restaurants, gymnasiums and swimming pools of the three hotels will remain open.
The document added that guest reservations will be transferred to other hotels for Emaar.
