Bill Gates retires from “Microsoft”

Global technology man Bill Gates said he will retire from the board of directors of Microsoft Corp., the company he founded in 1975 and has grown to be the largest software producer, in order to devote more of his time to charity.

Gates wrote on Friday’s blog, Bloomberg News reported, that “Microsoft will always be an important part of my life’s work and I will continue to engage with Satya (Nadella, current Microsoft CEO) and technical leadership to help shape the vision and implement the company’s ambitious goals.”

He added: “I feel more optimistic than before about the progress the company is making, and how it can still benefit the world.”
