An unknown future for Ramos with Real Madrid
Spain’s Sergio Ramos, captain of Real Madrid, celebrates his 34th birthday today after spending 15 years with Real Madrid since joining in 2005 from Seville.
Sergio Ramos is one of the few players in the world who have managed to win all possible titles, whether with his club Real Madrid or Spain.
“Marca” newspaper, on the day of the player’s birth, confirmed that his future with the team is still unknown. Ramos’ contract expires in the summer of 2021, and he wants to stay with the team for the end of his career.
Real Madrid also wants to retain the game, but the club made a decision after renewing long-term contracts for players who exceeded 30 years, as the renewal became year after year or for two years at most.
Ramos seems to accept this idea according to age, so he said in a previous statement: “After a certain age, the club’s policy seems normal to me.”
