The media office confirmed to the Minister of Labor, Lamia Yamen, in a statement that “given the economic and living conditions that Lebanon is going through as a result of successive crises, the most recent of which was on the level of the spread of Corona virus, and based on the principle of solidarity and social solidarity among the Lebanese, the The Minister of Labor, with a sense of responsibility towards workers and employees, hopes that companies and institutions stand by their employees to enable them to pass this stage, by paying salaries and pensions to these people, regardless of the work hours imposed by the preventive measures taken to confront the Corona virus.

The minister wished to the right of “the banks to take BDL circular No. 547 that allows them to borrow from it with zero interest in exchange for using the borrowed amounts in order to secure customer loans and enable institutions to facilitate their work in paying operational costs and paying the wages of their workers.”
She explained that “the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers to suspend all administrative and financial deadlines … etc, that would help these companies and institutions to pay what they must towards their workers.”
She stressed that “the current stage requires the employers and workers to join hands and collaborate each other in order to maintain the social peace and pass this crisis to cross Lebanon to the stage of stability and prosperity, stressing that the government with all its components plays a pivotal role in order to maintain the sustainability of work On the one hand, and preserving the earnings of employees and workers on the other hand, and it will work to provide aid according to the available capabilities. “
