Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, inaugurated the new identity of airport taxis and public fare at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, in the presence of the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation Abdul Hadi Al-Mansouri and Chairman of the General Authority for Transport, Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih.

Al-Jasser handed license No. 1 for airport fare activity, and license No. 1 for fare equipment activity.

Al-Rumaih said: The new taxis enjoy the latest specifications and technologies that are compatible with public transportation systems, and that this step comes within a number of development steps that will facilitate the transportation process and raise the services provided to citizens, residents and visitors, and that the development came to include the economic viability associated with the value of the industry Transportation in our daily life, and will provide great opportunities to diversify sources of income.

He added: This service will soon include all the taxi services, and the inauguration of these vehicles is not only limited to developing the external appearance of taxis and their internal characteristics, but also extends to providing high-development service vehicles with a unified identity.

And Abizaid: One of the conditions for issuing licenses for taxis is that their operating life is not more than five years from the year of manufacture. One of the advantages of taxis is that they relate to smart maps and have the possibility of immediate request through applications, in addition to the availability of surveillance cameras directed to the driver to document levels of efficiency and quality in the service in order to preserve the rights Beneficiaries and to enhance the principle of competitiveness.

He continued: Each vehicle has screens that support the Arabic and English languages, it also calculates the costs of trips and contains the driver’s data and enables him to communicate with the control center and receive requests through it, in addition to the presence of a live and direct tracking device in each car around the clock, and a speed limiter for each vehicle, Taxis also have free internet, in addition to a payment device over the network, and introductory screens that enable the passenger to control the sound and evaluate the service.

This service comes within several services provided by the transportation system to upgrade its services provided in line with the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
