On Thursday, US Vice President Mike Pence of Jerusalem urged world assembled leaders to “stand firm” against Iran, describing it as the only country to deny its “Holocaust policy”.

“We must stand strong against the only government in the world whose policy denies the Holocaust,” Pence said at a ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi Auschwitz camp.

Earlier this month, the US Vice President said that US President Donald Trump will ask the Europeans to withdraw from the nuclear agreement with Iran, after Tehran renewed its refusal to restrict the nuclear deal.

Pence also praised Trump’s decision to liquidate the Iranian general, Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Qods Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, upon his departure from Baghdad airport on January 3.

He also praised Trump’s decision, prior to Soleimani’s liquidation, to bomb the Iraqi Hezbollah militia after its involvement in the killing of an American contractor in Iraq, saying that America bombed Iranian militias for the first time in 10 years.
