During its session today (Tuesday), headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Council of Ministers approved the addition of a new paragraph to Article (eleventh) of the distinguished residence system.
The Council decided to approve the addition of a new paragraph – (3) – to Article (eleventh) of the distinguished residence system, issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 106) dated 10/9/1440 AH, with the following text:
3 – The family continues to enjoy the rights and benefits that it enjoyed in accordance with paragraph (2) of Article (Tenth) of the system, in the event that the residence of the bearer is canceled according to subparagraph (f) of Paragraph (1) of Article (IX) of the system , Provided that this enjoyment does not exceed the period of validity that was scheduled for this special stay.
It is mentioned that subparagraph (f) of paragraph (1) of Article (9) of the system provides for the cancellation of privileged residence in the event of the death of the bearer or his loss of eligibility.
