The club published its squad to face Newcastle through its personal account on the social networking site “Twitter” through caricatures drawn by some children from Lyncker Elementary School during their visit to Everton exercises recently.
The move is part of the club’s support for an initiative to raise awareness of positive mental health amongst young adults.
The foundation supporting the initiative organized a visit to the children of the Linacre School of Everton, where they met with the players and drew their heroes from the team through caricatures.
And Everton used these fees to use them to announce his squad through his social media platforms. Also, these fees will be used in the screens of “Goodison Park”, the team stronghold, to announce the Everton squad and the replacements during the Newcastle meeting, as well as in the match day program that is distributed to the fans.
Lenaker Primary School is one of several schools participating in this initiative, which aims to teach young people mental, psychological and physical health strategies, enhance emotional literacy and develop self-esteem and self-confidence.
More than 850 young people between the ages of 6 and 16 have participated in the program in the past three years.
Everton is 11th in the Premier League table with 29 points collected during 23 rounds of the competition.
