Among the measures to reduce the risk of the virus spreading, schools, which started a holiday for the Lunar New Year, will remain closed until February 17.

Among the measures also include stopping flights to and from the Chinese city of Wuhan, as well as stopping express train connections to and from it.

Lam said that all official visits to the mainland (China) will be canceled, and the Lunar New Year celebrations will be canceled immediately.

It is noteworthy that China announced Saturday that 41 people have died so far due to the Corona virus, which has infected more than 1,300 people worldwide, while health authorities around the world were quick to take measures to prevent a global epidemic.

The National Health Commission of China said in a statement on Saturday that the total number of confirmed cases of the virus in China is now 1287.
