“Engineers Authority” meets with “Aramco” to discuss common issues

Discussions focused on professional tests, their importance and their effectiveness

The Saudi Council of Engineers held a meeting with Aramco to discuss the most important common issues. The meeting also witnessed a number of the company’s websites, to know the most important efforts made and the latest technologies used.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company “Saudi Aramco” in the Eastern Region received Eng. Amin Al-Nasser; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Council of Engineers Eng. Saad Al-Shahrani; Vice-President Eng. Hussain Al-Shammari; Member of the Board of Directors Eng. Salem Al-Huraish; Authority officials.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Saad Al-Shahrani, explained that during the meeting, the Saudi Engineers Authority was defined and established, its tasks and objectives, the strategic plan and its most prominent pillars, in addition to the system of practicing engineering professions and the extent of its importance, and the professional tests of engineers and technicians.

Al-Shahrani reported that the most important common issues in the engineering sector were discussed, and discussion about professional tests, their importance and extent of effectiveness in developing Saudi engineers and raising their competence in the engineering sector, stressing the importance of working to implement the system of practicing engineering professions and professional accreditation.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Saad Al-Shahrani, invited the hosting of the President of Aramco, Eng. Amin Al-Nasser, at an engineering evening in Riyadh, as part of the periodic events organized by the Engineers Authority. He also invited Aramco to participate in the second international engineering conference to be held in March. 2020 and a senior Saudi Aramco official participated as a keynote speaker at the conference itself.

During the meeting, aspects of cooperation and exchange of experiences in a number of areas were discussed, such as: training, qualification and benefit from the experience of “Aramco” in the LMS training management system, and participation in conferences and events organized by the authority, and it was agreed to select representatives on both sides to follow up on the completion of tasks and supervision on her.

The meeting concluded with a visit to a number of Aramco centers, such as the Planning Center and the OSPAS Oil Supply Scheduling Center, the Petroleum Exploration and Extraction Simulation Center and the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center. The visit concluded with the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, “Ethraa” to see the most important efforts provided by the company, and the latest technologies used in a number of areas .

At the conclusion of the visit, the commission honored Eng. Amin Al-Nasser, and a number of deputies and senior executives, for their support and their prominent role in supporting the engineering sector.
