EGYPT – Bloomberg: Apple begins manufacturing smaller and cheaper iPhone next February


(MENAFN – Youm7) A new report revealed that Apple may launch a new low-cost iPhone phone very soon, and according to Bloomberg, the suppliers of the giant technology company will begin assembling affordable iPhone models, which will be the first of its kind since iPhone SE in February, Moreover, Apple will unveil the device in March, and reports, rumors and forecasts for a low-cost iPhone model started last year, some from analyst Ming Zhi-kuo, who has a proven track record when it comes to Apple’s expectations.

According to the American website engadget, Kuo mentioned earlier that the next affordable model will look like the iPhone 8 and will have a 4.7-inch screen, and it is reported that it will be powered by the A13 chip from Apple, which also runs the iPhone 11.

A separate Bloomberg report also stated that the company recently asked its partners to increase their A-series processor due to higher than expected demand “for the iPhone 11, as it might also be because the low cost model will start mass production soon.

In addition to the possible size and processor of the device, Bloomberg also indicated that the device will have a Touch ID integrated into the main menu button, and it is not yet clear whether it will be known as the iPhone SE 2, but any low-cost device can help boost Apple’s presence in developing countries where it is Affordable Android devices are more popular.
