Informal trade exchanges between Morocco and Israel, which take place through brokerage firms based in European countries, were estimated at 63 million dollars in the last 3 years, according to the “Hespress” website.
The site indicated that Tel Aviv imported more than $ 32.5 million in the period between January 2017 and November of last year, while its exports to Morocco during the same period amounted to approximately $ 31 million.
The high Israeli demand for Moroccan products during the past year helped push Moroccan export and import companies to increase their exports in the period between January and the end of November 2019.
The data of the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics revealed an increase in the level of Tel Aviv imports of Moroccan products, by nearly 27 percent, compared to the level recorded in 2018.
And Israeli exports to the Kingdom moved from $ 4.7 million in the first eleven months of 2019 to $ 3.8 million in the same period in the previous year.
