Meeting at which Deputy Foreign Minister Al-Jarallah expressed his country’s dismay and surprise at its repetition

Today, Friday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Iranian ambassador to it, Mohammad Irani, in the wake of the “repeated statements” of the commander of the Iranian ground forces, on the “Ali Al-Salem” base in Kuwait, in which he indicated the participation of al-Qaeda in other bases in the region in the process that Major General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps of Jerusalem, was killed near the airport in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, according to CNN Arabic.

The Kuwaiti News Agency stated that the Iranian ambassador met with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Khaled Al-Jarallah, where the latter expressed “Kuwait’s resentment and surprise at the repetition of such statements, and reiterated Kuwait’s categorical denial of any aircraft flying from Ali Al-Salem base.”

Amir Ali Haji Zada, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards ’forces, said that“ there were generally 4 to 5 bases involved in these operations. ”

The Kuwaiti Army Chief of Staff denied, through her account on “Twitter” on the 5th of this month, the “false information circulated in some media and social media about the use of the Kuwaiti military bases to carry out attacks against specific targets in one of the neighboring countries.”
