A strong group for Egypt in the first stage of the African World Cup Qualifiers

The qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup African qualifiers, which took place today, Tuesday, in a Cairo hotel, resulted in the national team Group VI victory.

The national team fell into a group that includes: Gabon, Libya and Angola in addition to Egypt.

The team comes at the head of the group being the first-ranked in the lottery, while Gabon comes from second, Libya is ranked third and Angola is ranked fourth.

The national team will play the two rounds of qualifiers, as it will play 6 games back and forth, and will begin its qualifying rounds, next October and specifically during the period from 5 to 13 October, and the second round between 9 and 17 November.

The third and fourth rounds will be held during the 22nd and 30th of March 2021, the fifth round will take place between the 30th of August and the 7th of September 2021, and the sixth round will be held between the 4th and 12th of October 2021.

The first of each of the 10 groups qualifies for the second round of the qualifiers, which will witness direct confrontations between each team, to qualify 5 representatives of the continent in the next World Cup in Qatar, and the last and final stage of the qualifiers will be held during the period from 8 to 16 November 2021.
