Postgraduate students and those interested in the judicial issue expressed their dissatisfaction with the recommendation of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University to close five departments in postgraduate studies at the Higher Institute of the Judiciary after seven years of study there and after its opening by a decision from the honorable high place to meet the need for a specialized quality judiciary.

The students emphasized that the survival of these departments will contribute to achieving the contents of Vision 2030, and will be in line with the openness with the world, and the interest of investors from various countries to invest in the Kingdom, especially the great countries; the fact that the Kingdom is one of those countries that host the Summit of the Twenty.

And the approval of the honorable High Commissioner in the year 1433 AH was to open the departments of the commercial judiciary, the criminal judiciary, the labor judiciary, the administrative judiciary, and the personal status judiciary at the Higher Judicial Institute.

And the rationale for the establishment of these departments came that it meets the need of the judicial authorities for specialized judicial education and training in accordance with the specific judicial jurisdiction, as the royal decrees were issued by assigning the matter to the Higher Judicial Institute, confirming that this comes within the developmental shift of the Higher Judicial Institute, which was launched with the issuance of high orders.

And when the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman came, students and interested people took courage, and they began to register in those departments, especially the Commercial Judicial Department; the fact that his outputs will achieve the contents and goals of the vision, in addition to being in line with openness with the world.

Everyone was surprised these days from the recommendation of the Council of the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University to approve the recommendation of the Council of the Higher Institute for the Judiciary to close those important departments, and to submit the recommendation to the Ministry of Education to approve its closure.

Interested students and graduate students resented the university’s recommendation to close it, wondering about the reason for the recommendation, especially that its inauguration came with the approval of the honorable High Commissioner, calling on the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh to cancel the university’s recommendation to close it, stressing that the survival of those departments will contribute to achieving the 2030 vision, and fill the need for training and development Specialized specialized judiciary.

In the same context, “previously” contacted a spokesman for the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tahini, to inquire about the recommendation of the closure, and he answered by saying: “With regard to your request, the university’s views on the reason for its council recommendation to close some sections of the Higher Institute of the Judiciary despite the urgent need for it that it will support the vision 2030, and its inauguration took place with the approval of the honorable High Commissioner. I inform you that the university administration directed that the matter was not finally approved by the University Council, and it is still a proposed recommendation plan, and it was submitted to the Universities Council, and we are awaiting its approval. ”
