Brazilian goalkeeper Bruno Fernandez, who is sentenced to 20 years, is expected to sign a prison sentence for the murder of his companion, with a regional soccer club in Brazil, after obtaining a permit from the judiciary to allow him to do so.

The 25-year-old, who is serving a semi-open sentence, managed last year to sign the humble club Posos de Caldas in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, but the contract was broken months later.

At the time, the team considered that the judicial procedures imposed on Fernandez had made it difficult for him to be in the exercises and limited his development.

The goalkeeper and former captain of the flamingo club was arrested in 2010 when he was looking to join the Brazil national team, and was sentenced to 20 years and nine months in prison in 2013, after he confessed in front of the judge that he strangled his ex-companion Alisa Samudio with the help of his friends, cut off her body, and gave parts of it as food For dogs.

It is reported that Samudio, who was demanding the player alimony for her son, disappeared in 2010 and was considered dead but never found her body in a case that shook Brazil.
