A balanced draw in the African qualifiers for the World Cup

The draw for the second round of the African qualifiers for the Qatar World Cup 2022, which took place on Tuesday in Cairo, resulted in a balanced draw for the Arab teams, while Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire fell into one group.

The first group included the teams of Algeria, Africa, Burkina Faso, Niger and Djibouti, while the second group included the teams of Tunisia, Zambia, Mauritania, Equatorial Guinea, the third group, Nigeria, Cape Verde, Central Africa, Liberia, and the fourth group, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique and Malawi.

The fifth group included the teams of Mali, Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda, the sixth group included the teams of Egypt, Gabon, Libya and Angola, the seventh group included the teams of Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia, and the eighth group included the teams of Senegal, Congo, Namibia and Togo.

The ninth group included the teams of Morocco, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Sudan, and the tenth group included the teams of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Benin, Madagascar, and Tanzania.
